FlexChecks has an exciting opportunity for a Bookkeeper! This position will be responsible for accurately handling our Accounts Receivable/Accounts Payable, Payroll (including client payrolls) and filing of payroll taxes. The essential duties of this position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Handle accounts receivable and payable
  • File all Multi-State Payroll Taxes
  • Assume responsibility for performing assigned accounting and related clerical support functions
  • Assist management with various duties related to month end
  • Complete deposits and apply to appropriate GL account
  • Maintain files and documentation in accordance with company policy and accepted accounting principals
  • Interact with other departments as needed to complete job functions
  • Assist other team members with tasks when available and workload requires

 Minimum Qualifications for this position include:

  • Associates Degree in Accounting or past experience
  • Extreme attention to detail
  • Past experience filing payroll tax returns
  • Candidate must be conscientious, highly organized, and meticulous to ensure records are accurate and well maintained
  • Problem-solving, flexibility, and the ability to meet deadlines
  • Must be able to work  well unsupervised and be a team player
  • Maintain a high level of professionalism and confidentiality
  • Must have experience using MS Office applications
